Highlights from my travels included: visiting a 19th century castle in southern Belgium, hiking in the Swiss Alps, eating wild blueberries at 6,000 ft, quiet reflection in the Swedish countryside, mild and breezy summer weather, window shopping in Amsterdam, and beauty in unexpected places.
Photoshop's Photomerge feature has completely automated the process of stitching together a panorama. It works even for non-tripod held panorama photos, like this one from my hike in the Swiss Alps.
The Photomerge feature works best if you use the panorama feature on your camera to assist you. If your camera doesn't have that feature, just remember to capture plenty of image overlap and try to keep the horizon in the same place in each photo. The steps:
This 5 photo panorama was taken on the Blumen (flower) trail from Bachalpsee to Waldspitz in the Swiss Alps.
The same point of view can get boring in photography so I try to both take in the entire scene and be attentive to any details that catch my eye. I found the door handle and the unique toilet door sign in Belgium. The flower-like cutout is on a pedestrian bridge in the Swiss Alps.
I noticed this striking and cheerful sculpture while wandering around the Dallas airport. I love the multi-colored texture of the metal and the gold accents.
